Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller to support its corporate financial services department in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update procedures and controls related to all company financial activities
• Prepare internal and external financial statements, regulatory filings, and tax reports
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards, accounting principles, and relevant laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
• 6+ years of related experience
• 3+ years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
• Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles, taxation, and audit procedures
• 2+ years of reinsurance accounting experience
