Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller to manage client relationships and support team development in the Venture Capital and Private Equity space.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for multiple clients, managing workflow and coordinating tasks among team members
• Drive the month-end close process, prepare and review financial statements, and oversee junior team members' activities
• Proactively seek opportunities for personal growth and provide coaching to junior team members

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry, preferably in Venture Capital or Private Equity
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting
• Client-facing experience leading engagements with multiple clients
• External auditor experience, CPA certification, or MBA is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as Xero or Quickbooks
