Assistant Controller

Job Summary

To support the Finance team, the full-time salaried Assistant Controller will manage financial reporting, accounting operations, and tax compliance while overseeing team members and driving process improvements in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee core accounting functions, including treasury operations, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance
• Lead monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and preparing financial statements
• Manage and develop accounting staff, establishing performance expectations and fostering cross-functional collaboration

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate environments
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with experience in financial reporting and audit
• Experience leading or supervising accounting teams and proficiency in ERP and financial systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
