Job Summary
To support the Aerospace Division, the remote, full-time Assistant Controller will manage comprehensive program and financial accounting for multiple government contracts, ensuring fiscal compliance and accurate reporting in accordance with federal regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for assigned government programs, ensuring precision in financial reporting and cost allocation
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff responsible for program financials and audit support
- Serve as the primary financial liaison for DCAA/DCMA auditors, coordinating audit preparation and resolving findings
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a government contracting environment
- Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA/contract audit procedures
- Hands-on experience with program/project accounting and government contract billing
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills
