Assistant Controller - Construction

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Assistant Controller - Construction will prepare and review financial data, supervise accounting staff, and enhance general accounting functions under the guidance of the Construction Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and project ledger reconciliations for multiple companies
• Approve accounts payable invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy in GL coding
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and corporate policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' progressive experience in accounting
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum and Texada preferred
• CPA, CMA, or MBA highly preferred
