Job Summary
A company is looking for an Assistant Laboratory Director (Hybrid or Remote).
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and sign out negative and straightforward positive clinical test reports
- Classify and approve straightforward variant alterations
- Fulfill regulatory responsibilities as delegated by the CLIA laboratory Director
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
- Doctoral degree in a field related to genetics from an accredited institution
- Board certification (or board-eligible) from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) or equivalent
- Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS) license from the California Department of Public Health
- Successful completion of an ABMGG fellowship program specialized in the service of the laboratory
- Technical knowledge of laboratory testing and terminology
