Assistant Laboratory Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Laboratory Director (Hybrid or Remote).

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and sign out negative and straightforward positive clinical test reports
• Classify and approve straightforward variant alterations
• Fulfill regulatory responsibilities as delegated by the CLIA laboratory Director

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:

• Doctoral degree in a field related to genetics from an accredited institution
• Board certification (or board-eligible) from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) or equivalent
• Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS) license from the California Department of Public Health
• Successful completion of an ABMGG fellowship program specialized in the service of the laboratory
• Technical knowledge of laboratory testing and terminology
