Assistive Technology Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistive Tech Specialist to coordinate services for accommodated students related to educational technology and accessibility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the acquisition and provision of accommodations, including alternative formats and communication services
• Provide guidance and recommendations on assistive technology to students and staff
• Conduct accessibility reviews of classroom content for students with sensory disabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, educational technology, instructional design, or a related field
• Two or more years of experience with accommodation determination and/or ADA compliance
• Familiarity with assistive technology programs and accessibility principles
• Knowledge of disability services and relevant laws and regulations
• Experience with adult learning and online education in higher education
