Job Summary
Maintaining actuarial reporting systems, the full-time remote Associate Actuary will analyze data, compile reports, and provide recommendations to support key actuarial functions.
Key responsibilities
- Compiles monthly and quarterly actuarial reports, performs profitability analyses, and reviews state insurance department rate filings
- Prepares and documents rate filings and submissions to state regulatory authorities, completing ad hoc reporting as needed
- Develops actuarial computer models, supports the actuarial staff, and determines reserves for reported and unreported liabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a job-related field
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS)
- 5 years of actuarial experience
- Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, procedures, and regulations
- Licenses or certifications in actuarial science (ASA or ACAS)
