Associate Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Security Engineer to assist in identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities in applications and implementing security measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with application security reviews and basic threat modeling activities
• Support code review and dynamic testing under the guidance of senior engineers
• Help track, triage, and manage application security vulnerabilities

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in application security, software development, or related fields
• Familiarity with GitLab or similar version control systems
• Basic understanding of common security flaws and secure coding concepts
• Introductory experience with scripting or development (e.g., .NET Core, Go, Python)
• Foundational understanding of web and network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, etc.)
