Associate Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic security team, the full-time Associate Application Security Engineer will defend cloud infrastructure and modern web applications, focusing on vulnerability assessment, threat research, and collaborating with engineering teams for effective remediation in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct application assessments and security tests while coordinating with application and infrastructure teams for effective protections
• Document, triage, and track vulnerabilities, providing guidance on remediation efforts
• Leverage automation and scripting to scale security testing and continuously monitor critical assets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Experience with web vulnerabilities and remediation in modern web frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security tools
• Proficiency with security testing tools such as BurpSuite and Metasploit
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
