Associate Art Director

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Associate Art Director, the candidate will manage and mentor designers while art directing creative book designs for children's fiction and non-fiction titles, ensuring adherence to deadlines and design excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and art direct designers and freelancers while coordinating multiple projects
• Design and oversee all stages of book packaging, from concept to final product
• Collaborate closely with editorial, creative, and production teams to meet project needs effectively

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in bookmaking, preferably in children's publishing
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite
• Strong portfolio demonstrating typographic skills and creative talent
• Knowledge of print production processes and color theory
