Job Summary
To support a government contract focusing on Petroleum, Oil, & Lubricants (POL), the full-time Associate Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring essential petroleum products and chemicals, ensuring mission readiness through technical compliance and cost-control strategies in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure packaged petroleum products and chemicals critical to military operations while ensuring technical compliance
- Conduct market analysis to inform purchasing decisions and evaluate supply chain risks
- Manage supplier negotiations and performance to secure optimal contract terms and ensure quality delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemical Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
