Associate Buyer

Job Summary

Supporting a government contract focused on Petroleum, Oil, & Lubricants (POL), the remote Associate Buyer will manage sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring essential packaged products to ensure military mission readiness while balancing compliance and cost-control strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure packaged petroleum products, oils, lubricants, and chemicals critical to military operations
• Utilize Qualified Products Lists (QPLs) and Product Item Descriptions (PIDs) for technical validation and compliance verification
• Prepare and manage requests for proposals (RFPs) and lead supplier negotiations to secure optimal contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemical Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or chemical management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
