Job Summary
Supporting a government contract focused on Petroleum, Oil, & Lubricants (POL), the full-time Associate Buyer will manage sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring essential products to ensure mission readiness, with the flexibility of a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure packaged petroleum products, oils, lubricants, and chemicals critical to military operations
- Utilize Qualified Products Lists (QPLs) and Product Item Descriptions (PIDs) for technical validation and compliance
- Prepare and manage requests for proposals (RFPs) and lead negotiations to secure optimal supplier terms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Chemical Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or chemical management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Experience in building effective working relationships and interacting professionally at all organizational levels
