Associate Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security alerts and logs, and support initial triage of security incidents
• Help with routine vulnerability scans and ensure system configurations align with security standards
• Assist with evidence collection for compliance requirements and maintain security documentation for audits

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent certification and hands-on experience
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, network, operating system, and application security principles
• Familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework or NIST SP 800-53 security controls
• Understanding of common regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA or GovRAMP
• Basic knowledge of security tools like SIEMs and vulnerability scanners
