Associate Director, Data Governance

Job Summary

Leading the enterprise data governance and FAIR data practices, the full-time Associate Director, Data Governance will manage cross-functional data strategy and delivery in a remote environment, ensuring trusted and reusable data for analytics and AI innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the enterprise Data Governance and FAIR strategy, aligning with business priorities
• Establish a framework to measure business outcomes and return on investment from data initiatives
• Advance active metadata and data product capabilities to improve data discovery, context, and interoperability

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2 years, or Master's degree with 6 years, or Bachelor's degree with 8 years, or Associate degree with 10 years of experience in Data Management or related fields
• Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of regulated data and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated leadership in enterprise data governance and data management initiatives
• Hands-on understanding of FAIR data principles and their application in data governance
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of translating data topics into business value
