Associate Director, Editorial

Job Summary

Leading the expansion of the Advanced brand into Health Sciences, the full-time remote Associate Director, Editorial will manage a global team of editors, drive journal growth strategies, and contribute directly to editorial activities across multiple titles.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and manage editorial teams, setting clear expectations and success criteria
• Provide strategic guidance and operational support to ensure journal objectives are met
• Identify future opportunities for the Advanced portfolio and support new launches through strategic decision-making

Required qualifications

• Significant journal publishing experience with a track record of developing high-profile journals
• Proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships with editors
• Expertise in setting and delivering journal strategy and growth plans
• Deep understanding of the peer-review process and editorial governance
• Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of operating at senior academic levels
