Associate Director of Analytics

Job Summary

To enhance analytical capabilities, the full-time Associate Director of Analytics will build and document analytical models of economic and insured property exposure using SQL and Python, while educating stakeholders on data products and conducting research on global marine cargo exposures.

Key responsibilities

• Build analytical models from diverse data sets, including economic and insured property exposure
• Document analytical methods and results, and educate internal and external audiences
• Research and develop datasets related to marine cargo exposures and insurance market practices globally

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
• Experience with statistical modeling, data analysis, and data visualization
• Proficiency in programming with SQL, Python, or R for data analysis
• Familiarity with geospatial data analysis tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS
• Understanding of marine trade flows data analysis and extreme events modeling
