Associate Director of Donor Communications

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day operations of donor communications, the full-time Associate Director of Donor Communications will oversee product development, funder-facing messaging, and stewardship strategies while working remotely to enhance relationships with current and prospective funders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the development of donor-facing materials that communicate ClimateWorks' strategy and impact
• Manage broad-based funder communications strategies to keep the funder community informed and engaged
• Supervise the donor relations team, ensuring effective workflow and capacity management across projects

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising communications or donor relations, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role
• Deep understanding of how communications support fundraising, including stewardship and prospect engagement
• Proven ability to translate complex strategies into compelling, funder-ready materials across various formats
• Experience with audience segmentation and CRM-informed communications strategies
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain workflow across teams
