Job Summary

Leading the daily operations of payroll, the full-time remote Associate Director of Payroll will develop effective payroll processes, oversee compliance and reporting, mentor team members, and serve as a subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the payroll team, ensuring accuracy and compliance in payroll operations
  • Analyze payroll data and prepare routine and ad hoc reports, ensuring timely submission of payroll and labor reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Human Resources to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Required qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of payroll experience, including management or leadership of a payroll team
  • Experience with multi-state payroll tax jurisdictions required
  • Professional payroll credentials such as CPP, CPM, or CPS preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, tax laws, and benefits-related payroll processes
