Associate Director of RWD Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of cloud-native data products, the full-time Associate Director of RWD Engineering will develop scalable data pipelines and support analytics for healthcare teams, ensuring high-quality real-world data delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-throughput data pipelines that transform raw real-world data into analysis-ready assets
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of RWD data products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across cloud environments
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define and document RWD engineering standards and optimize data extraction and transformation logic

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on data engineering experience, particularly in healthcare or life sciences RWD
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS or Databricks
• Deep understanding of healthcare data structures, coding standards, and real-world data sources
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
