Associate Director of Scientific Communications

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Director, Scientific Communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute scientific communication plans for assigned products and therapeutic areas
• Research, draft, and edit scientific and medical publications while managing external writers and designers
• Facilitate expert meetings and support scientific congress activities related to publication strategy

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or higher) in life or health sciences
• 7 or more years of experience in scientific communications or medical writing in a pharmaceutical setting
• 2 or more years of experience managing direct reports is preferred
• Expert knowledge of product- and disease-specific literature
• Experience with publication planning and adherence to authorship guidelines
