Associate Editor

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and creative, the full-time remote Associate Editor will support the curation and production of bespoke editions by managing project schedules, collaborating on art and design, and assisting with marketing efforts for collectible literary works.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the schedule for 10-15 titles annually, tracking milestones from concept to final delivery
• Collaborate with the Art Director to commission illustrators and manage artist contracts and schedules
• Write compelling product descriptions and assist the marketing team with engaging content for community outreach

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of editorial or production editorial experience in trade publishing, preferably with illustrated or special editions
• Strong organizational skills to manage complex schedules and multiple vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with InDesign and project management software is a plus
• Excellent written communication skills for engaging with authors and consumers
• Experience with direct-to-consumer business models is a plus
