Associate Editor, SportsTravel

Job Summary

Passionate about sports and travel, the full-time Associate Editor, SportsTravel will provide digital coverage of the sports-event industry, create original content, and represent the Sports Division at industry events, with the flexibility to work remotely or from hybrid offices in New Jersey or New York.

Key responsibilities

• Research and write news and feature stories for the SportsTravel website and social media channels
• Assemble and manage the weekly SportsTravel e-newsletter in collaboration with the managing editor
• Attend and represent SportsTravel at industry events, moderating panels and assisting event staff as needed

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of reporting and editing experience for a website, newspaper, magazine, or travel publication
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and WordPress
• Ability and willingness to travel for industry events and report on them
• College degree or equivalent preferred in English, Journalism, or Sports Management
• Keen interest in and familiarity with sports at all levels, including esports
