Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel to join their legal team and provide strategic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations and execute various agreements, ensuring protection of the company's interests
• Advise on product and technology risks, particularly regarding data privacy compliance and emerging technologies
• Own and enhance privacy and security compliance programs, collaborating with InfoSec on regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• 7+ years of legal experience, including both law firm and in-house roles in high-growth technology environments
• Proven track record in leading commercial negotiations and providing strategic counsel across departments
• Deep expertise in data privacy and security frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and an understanding of the regulatory landscape surrounding them
