Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

Leading legal work across model development, the full-time Associate General Counsel will serve as the primary counsel for data and research teams, partner with product teams to enhance user experiences, and help establish a scalable legal function in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise data and research teams on legal questions related to model development and create frameworks for efficient operations
• Collaborate with product teams to develop and launch user-friendly products and features
• Draft and review consumer-facing terms, policies, and disclosures while building out the privacy program to enhance customer trust

Required qualifications

• JD from a U.S. accredited law school with 7-15 years of legal practice experience, either in-house or at a firm
• Experience advising product, research, or engineering teams on legal issues in AI development and deployment
• Fluency in privacy, IP, data licensing, consumer protection, and international AI regulatory issues
• Ability to navigate ambiguous legal situations and provide clear, actionable advice
• Proven experience in integrating AI-native legal practices into workflows
