Job Summary
A company is looking for an Associate General Counsel, Origination & Commercial to provide legal support for utility-scale standalone storage projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Origination and Commercial Team in negotiating offtake agreements and conducting due diligence on M&A opportunities
- Review requests for proposals and develop comprehensive bid submittals, incorporating feedback from subject matter experts
- Oversee Outside Counsel on select transactions and assist in the selection of outside counsel
Required Qualifications
- J.D. required
- Minimum 3-4 years of top-tier law firm experience in renewable energy project development
- At least 1-2 years of in-house legal experience with a renewable energy developer or investor-owned utility
- Experience in leading negotiations of power purchase agreements and structuring project-scale M&A transactions
- Knowledge of project finance structures and implications on project development/M&A transactions
