Associate Publisher

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Publisher to lead the Harper Catholic imprint.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain relationships with Catholic authors, agents, and institutions while managing author acquisitions and title development
• Participate in departmental planning, financial analysis, and oversee the editorial schedule and product development processes
• Support the Publisher in strategic planning, staff management, and represent the imprint at conferences and industry events

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in publishing or related field, preferably with supervisory experience
• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university is required; Master's Degree is preferred
• Strong understanding of the Christian market, particularly the Catholic sector
• Experience in financial analysis and management, including understanding income statements and balance sheets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
