Associate RMF & ATO Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting RMF and ATO activities, the remote Associate RMF & ATO Engineer will assist in implementing security controls, maintaining authorization packages, and enhancing the security posture of healthcare systems while collaborating with senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation of NIST RMF security controls throughout the system lifecycle
• Support the development and maintenance of security documentation, including SSPs and Security Assessment Reports
• Help perform continuous monitoring, vulnerability tracking, and remediation validation

Required qualifications

• Familiarity with NIST RMF and ATO processes
• Experience with AWS cloud and Kubernetes security configurations
• Knowledge of security documentation and authorization processes
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of security tools
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in cloud security and RMF
