Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Associate Scientist II will independently analyze surveillance data and conduct literature reviews to lead original research projects and publish high-impact articles in the Surveillance, Prevention, and Health Services Research department.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyzes, interprets, and publishes high-impact research articles and/or Facts & Figures
  • Provides analytical and technical support to senior staff members in SPHeRe and Discovery Pillar
  • Collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts to publicize research findings
Required qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Biostatistics, or Demography
  • Five to eight years of experience in statistical, medical, or biologic research
  • Experience with cancer screening, early detection, and risk factor surveillance
  • Proficiency in SAS or related statistical software (R, Stata, SUDAAN, SEER*Stat)
  • Familiarity with large databases (NHIS, BRFSS, SEER, etc.)
