Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Associate Scientist II will independently analyze surveillance data, conduct literature reviews, and lead original research projects focused on cancer risk factors and screening.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and publish high-impact research articles and/or cancer statistics
- Provide analytical and technical support to senior staff members within the SPHeRe department
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to publicize research findings
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Policy, Health Economics, Biostatistics, or Demography
- Five to eight years of experience in statistical, medical, or biologic research, with a focus on cancer screening and risk factor surveillance
- Proficiency in SAS or related statistical software (R, Stata, etc.)
- Familiarity with large databases such as NHIS, BRFSS, and SEER
- Experience in documenting analytic programs and results clearly and organized
