Associate SOC Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Associate SOC Engineer will be responsible for updating customer work requests, performing MSS support tasks, and contributing to the development of knowledge bases for enhanced service efficiency while working third shift from Wednesday to Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a primary responder for Cyber Operations client systems, managing configuration issues from inception to resolution
• Act as a point of escalation for other engineers, providing guidance and mentoring
• Advise on best practices for SIEM and Enterprise Security products to both technical and non-technical personnel

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Security, or Networking, or an Associate's degree with equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of experience in the relevant domain
• General security knowledge, including IT and network troubleshooting
• Experience with ticketing and knowledge base systems for incident tracking
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking and familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
