Associate SOC Engineer

Job Summary

Working overnight Sunday-Wednesday, the full-time Associate SOC Engineer will update customer work requests, perform MSS support tasks including health checks and basic troubleshooting, and contribute to the development of knowledge base content to enhance MSS service efficiency, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary responder for Cyber Operations client systems, managing client configuration issues to resolution
• Act as a point of escalation for other engineers, providing guidance and mentoring
• Implement and configure security software and appliances in large enterprise environments while advising on best practices

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Security, or Networking, or an Associate's degree with equivalent experience
• 2-4 years of experience in a relevant discipline
• General security knowledge, including IT knowledge, network troubleshooting, and cloud certification preferred
• Experience with ticketing and knowledge base systems for incident tracking (e.g., Service Now, Jira)
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems
