Associate Software Engineer
Job Summary
Contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions, the full-time Associate Software Engineer will work remotely on the CMS Health Information Oversight System (HIOS) team, focusing on manual and automated testing, maintaining test suites, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that align with customer and business objectives
- Plan, execute, and document manual and automated testing across various activities including functional and regression testing
- Maintain reusable test suites, manage defects, and ensure traceability between requirements and results
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CMS Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance
- Two or more years of software development experience
- Experience building and maintaining software applications
- Understanding of software engineering principles and development practices
