Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate insurance applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Assist in assessing risk exposures and determining eligibility in line with underwriting guidelines
• Prepare and process quotes, binders, endorsements, and renewal documentation for underwriter approval

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of experience in desk underwriting in excess and surplus insurance
• Intermediate-level knowledge of insurance products/coverage, underwriting, pricing, and risk selection
• Experience with Lloyd's of London, Penn America, MUSIC, Century Surety, and Core Specialty is a plus
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
