Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Underwriter, responsible for preparing group renewal quotes and conducting risk analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares group renewal quotes and performs risk analysis using historical and projected data
• Calculates standard group renewals and ensures accuracy of plan factors used in quote preparation
• Monitors and prepares routine reports on sold business versus underwriting rates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or 4 years of functional experience in lieu of a degree
• One year of underwriting experience preferred
• Familiarity with SQL and Power BI preferred
• Clean credit history as reported by credit report
