Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new business accounts for various insurance products, focusing on groups of 100 to 250 lives
• Review RFP submissions, analyze manual ratings, and develop new business rate recommendations
• Maintain relationships with sales and service teams while managing a book of business and participating in assigned projects

Required Qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in risk evaluation and pricing
• Ability to process sold accounts and renewals following established procedures
• Experience with large market inforce customer accounts is a plus
