Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

Focused on underwriting new business accounts for Life, AD&D, and Disability products, the full-time Associate Underwriter will manage client portfolios, review RFP submissions, and collaborate with sales teams to achieve growth goals.

Key responsibilities

• Review Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions and verify census data and plan information
• Develop and analyze manual ratings and communicate new business rate recommendations
• Underwrite large market inforce customer accounts and manage a book of business

Required qualifications

• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience required
• 0-2 years of cumulative, relevant experience
• Proficiency in risk evaluation and pricing
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with underwriting processes for Life and Disability products
