Associate Underwriter

Job Summary

Reviewing policy documents and ensuring compliance with guidelines, the full-time remote Associate Underwriter will evaluate crop insurance applications, respond to broker inquiries, and maintain relationships with agents.

Key responsibilities

• Review policy information to determine application acceptability for crop insurance coverage
• Respond to inquiries from brokers and provide underwriting resources
• Verify rates and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and company policies

Required qualifications

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience
• Previous experience in the agriculture or crop insurance industry preferred
• A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality and diplomacy
