Job Summary
A company is looking for an Associate Variant Scientist to interpret DNA sequence and copy number variants for genetic disease diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess the pathogenicity of DNA sequence variants and copy number variations using established guidelines
- Review genomic data from multiple platforms and complete case-level analysis with minimal supervision
- Prepare clear and accurate documentation of findings for downstream reporting
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- PhD in medical technology, chemical, or biological sciences
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, error-free work
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Foundational knowledge of Variant Science preferred but not required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
