Assumed Reinsurance Claims Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assumed Reinsurance Complex Claims Analyst to manage complex claims and provide technical support within the claims department.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively handle allocated claims, including assessment of losses and negotiation for timely settlements
• Manage mid to large complex and disputed claims while acting as the main contact for assigned cedent claims
• Conduct analysis of reinsurance contracts and provide technical assistance in due diligence for new acquisitions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience handling complex assumed claims
• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience required
• High level of claims handling technical experience and knowledge
• Understanding of key terms and conditions in contracts/policies
• Experience with asbestos, pollution, and/or abuse claims is highly desirable
