Assumed Reinsurance Claims Analyst

Job Summary

To manage quota share and mid-complexity assumed reinsurance claims across multiple disciplines and territories, the full-time Assumed Reinsurance Claims Analyst will take ownership of claims from assessment through resolution, including reviewing treaties, negotiating settlements, and overseeing cedent relationships in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of claims from assessment through resolution, including treaty review and reserve setting
• Negotiate settlements and manage disputed matters while overseeing cedent relationships
• Conduct claims audits, identify savings opportunities, and support due diligence for new acquisitions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience handling assumed claims and coverage matters
• Strong quota share experience and technical knowledge of long-tail claims, ideally including asbestos, pollution, or abuse
• Experience interpreting complex treaty programmes and facultative certificates
• Four-year degree or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a remote environment
