Job Summary
A company is looking for a Remote Async Writing Tutor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough, insightful, actionable written feedback to student essays/writing assignments
- Meet synchronously with students via the virtual classroom
- Review a diversity of writing, including health sciences, argumentative essays, history, and student work on controversial subjects
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate with a degree in English/writing or a writing professional
- Familiarity with tutoring methodology and the Socratic method of tutoring
- Availability for 20-30 hours during surge periods
- Fast and reliable internet access, MS Word/Google Docs, and a laptop/desktop computer
- Writing Center experience is highly preferred
