Atlassian Platform Architect
Job Summary
Owning the technical direction and architecture of the Atlassian ecosystem, the full-time remote Atlassian Platform Architect will define target architecture, establish standards, and lead platform remediation while ensuring the environment remains secure and scalable.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the target architecture and technical strategy for Jira, JSM, and Confluence
- Establish enterprise standards for data models, workflows, and integrations while leading platform health initiatives
- Design and implement complex solutions using Jira Automation, REST APIs, and other Atlassian tools
Required qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience leading Jira and the Atlassian ecosystem in a large organization
- Deep expertise in Jira Cloud and JSM, including workflows, automation, and security configurations
- Strong technical experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and enterprise integrations
- Experience defining enterprise architecture and platform governance aligned with ITIL practices
- Knowledge of HIPAA and FedRAMP requirements and their practical application in platform controls
