Job Summary
A company is looking for an Atmospheric Scientist, Calibration Validation Specialist to support government clients in the analysis of microwave remote sensing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in research supporting space-based microwave remote sensing missions
- Analyze microwave remote sensing systems and pre-flight specifications
- Conduct calibration and validation of space-based microwave radiometric data
Required Qualifications and Education
- Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Electrical Engineering, or related field required; B.S. with extensive Cal/Val experience may be considered
- CalVal experience with space-based microwave radiometric data is essential
- Fluency in two or more programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB
- Experience programming in a Linux/Unix environment and Linux shell scripting
- Current Secret clearance or higher is a plus
