ATO Security Analyst

Job Summary

To support the Department of Veterans Affairs, the fully remote ATO Security Analyst will manage the development and maintenance of ATO and ATC packages, ensuring cybersecurity compliance across VA research environments through meticulous documentation and coordination with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain ATO and ATC packages, including system security plans and FISMA documentation
• Track and resolve open POA&M items while keeping authorization schedules current
• Conduct security assessment reviews and lead client-facing meetings on ATO topics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Hands-on experience with the full RMF lifecycle, including creating and maintaining SSPs and FISMA security documentation
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
• U.S. citizenship is required
