Attorney for Advanced Research Center

Job Summary

Serving as a key member of the legal team, the full-time Counsel for the Advanced Research Center will provide comprehensive legal support on U.S. government contracts, commercial transactions, and compliance matters while working remotely or from offices in Niskayuna, Washington D.C., or Cambridge.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted legal advisor to ARC leadership on various legal and compliance issues
• Provide legal support for U.S. government contracts and financial assistance agreements, including drafting and negotiating related documents
• Manage disputes and claims, coordinating with outside counsel as necessary

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of legal experience in transactional law, research, technology, energy, or defense
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. state bar
• Broad generalist legal skills across commercial transactions, disputes, and regulatory compliance
• U.S. citizenship required to support U.S. Government Contracts and Financial Assistance Agreements
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
