Job Summary
Offering a fully remote, full-time opportunity, the MEAP AV Specialist will manage the identification, assessment, and digitization of audio-visual materials while supporting grant-funded projects and enhancing access to endangered cultural heritage collections.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a grant application and selection process for audio and moving image projects
- Support documentation and digitization of AV archival collections, ensuring quality control and effective communication with global grantees
- Collaborate with library staff to address metadata creation, digitization workflows, and digital asset management
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training
- Experience with post-custodial archiving and commitment to preserving cultural heritage
- Hands-on experience with various audio-visual formats in library or archive settings
- Familiarity with digital collections and online collection environments
- Working knowledge of metadata standards and practices for digital archives
