Audit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Audit Specialist to support Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with a focus on IT audits and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support up to six independent IT audits annually, including FISMA and financial system audits
• Assist in evaluating IT systems and controls for compliance with federal cybersecurity standards
• Collect and organize audit artifacts and track audit requests in automated systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in IT audit, cybersecurity compliance, or risk management
• Experience supporting FISMA audits and federal compliance frameworks
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and federal audit requirements
• Experience with audit evidence collection and management of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
