Authorization Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for a PC Authorization Associate I-Evenings.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies to determine pre-certification and pre-authorization requirements for outpatient visits
• Obtain necessary pre-certification or pre-authorization prior to scheduled services
• Liaise with physicians and office staff to gather additional information as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or related healthcare experience
• Three years of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university preferred
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative preferred
